Accessibility Statement

Boston Health & Wellness Physical Therapy is committed to making bostonhealthwellness.com usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain this site, not an afterthought added at the end.

Conformance Target

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced in the Section 504 accessibility rule and widely used as the benchmark for ADA Title III compliance. This is our target, not a claim of full, permanent conformance: accessibility is an ongoing effort, and new content or features can introduce issues we then work to fix.

Measures We've Taken

This site was built and reviewed with accessibility in mind, including:

• Semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a "skip to main content" link on every page.
• Descriptive page titles, alt text on meaningful images, and labeled form fields throughout the site, including the appointment request form.
• Keyboard operability for navigation, the mobile menu, FAQ and treatment accordions, and the appointment request form, with visible focus indicators.
• Support for reduced-motion preferences: if your device is set to reduce motion, animations and scrolling effects are minimized or skipped, and no content depends on an animation to become visible. Where content still moves automatically, such as the homepage reviews wall, a visible pause control lets you stop it regardless of that setting.
• Color and contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds for text, buttons, and interactive states.
• No accessibility overlay or automated widget. We do not use tools like this in place of fixing the underlying code, because they do not reliably resolve accessibility barriers on their own.

Known Limitations

We are not aware of a fully accessible site that works perfectly for every person and every assistive technology, and this site is no exception. Known limitations we are tracking:

• The Google Reviews widget on our homepage (powered by Elfsight, a third-party service) is provided by an outside vendor. We have configured it as accessibly as the platform allows, but we do not control its underlying code and cannot guarantee full conformance within that specific component.
• Our PDF patient forms may not yet be fully optimized for screen readers. If you need a document in an alternative format, contact us using the information below and we will get it to you.

Ongoing Review

We review this site's accessibility on an ongoing basis, including after significant content or design updates, and we update this statement when our practices change.
